Default quick dccd question...

hi all

can someone tell me what disengages the dccd? is it the actual handbrake light that switches it? so if the light was illuminated for something else eg low pads/wiring fault, this would also put the diff in free regardless of where i put the wheel?

cheers, tath

ta. and the handbrake light (STI2 RA) is the low brake warning light as well - it's an exclamation not a (P) type thing?

I think that pulling the handbrake activates a switch which sets the diff to free and lights a bulb on the dash. The low pads/wiring fault will be a seperate circuit that activates the same bulb.

Dave.
