Over boost problem...
I'd be very grateful if anyone could give me some clues as to why my terzo has suddenly developed a huge over boost problem.
It was fine yesterday boosting as usual to around 1.1bar, this morning it's boosting over 1.5bar. I think if i kept my foot on the pedal it would keep going further too!!!
It's a 98 terzo, engine mods are... unichip, full decat, blitz induction, VTA DV.
I managed to adjust the boost via a bleed valve previously, i adjusted that again this morning but have been unable to test it yet.
I can't help wondering why it suddenly developed this problem though.....
Chris

The 'vacuum' hose that goes to the actuator on the turbo.
The actuator opens the internal wastegate at a predetermined pressure...If there is a split in the hose, there will not be enough pressure generated to open the actuator, therefore boost will keep increasing.
Just a thought...might not be it though?
Also check the integrity of the vacuum hose on the compressor side of the turbo
