Default VF30 Spool Vs VF28, TD05, TD04

Anyone know the spec on a VF30.
I have a feeling it sits somwhere between the VF28 and the TD05, but I could be wrong.

If it were mapped to 1.2BAR when would it hit peak boost - 2,800 or 4,000

About 3000 RPM with good breathing and boost control in a high gear. VF30/34/24/28/TD05 are all broadly similar on spool up.

VF30 hits about 1.2 bar at 3200rpm with an unichip and AVC-r
It did on a MY98 from a friend of mine

Whats the recommended limits of the VF30 i.e what can it pull and hold to the redline.
I'm guessing at about 17psi ??

That is a sensible starting point. The wastegate should blow open or you'll be retarding timing to ward off detonation if you start over-cooking it.

With an exhaust manifold and induction kitt my friend ran 1.4bar till 6000 rpm and 1.2bar at 7000 rpm. Powerfigure was 350bhp and 440nm.
But if youre planning on a VF30 you'll be better off with the VF34 which spools a little quicker and is the same besides the bearing

I ran 1.4bar, tailing to 1.2 @6krpm (7k rev limit) on a VF30 on an MY98.
Found it to be quite lazy actually, compared to the VF34.

Cheers guy;s.. a mate has just bought a MY99 with VF30. It's only hitting 1.2bar at present, so I think more can be had especially in themid range.

My TD04 hits more then that in the mid range.....
