Cool Clinic rollers- 2nd time lucky

So; we ran the car on the RR- it just wasnt building boost until 4200rpm+.
So:
Look at AVCR- no boost until 4200rpm+..
hose off turbo - still no boost until 4200rpm+.
Visual checks for leaks- no boost until 4200rpm+.

talk about lethargic (the car; and later myself from the cold)

**** it; turbo off for visual inspection...
Turns out a small hairline crack in the wastegate just behind the 'penny' (think thats the right term) on the exhaust housing . had been leaking gases like a seive when hot it seems.
****

so- decision to try in stock TD05FE

back on rollers- go carefully thru AVCR setup and sure enough we have boost around 3k (yay!

mapping starts, few timing tweaks, ign tweaks, afr altering and AVCR duty cycle adjustments- bingo.

Peak power of 342bhp and peak torque on the run after of 330lb/ft.

knocklink in general quiet as a mouse.. - which is nice
phew. happy now.
freezing- but happy

Big thanks to Pat, Kev, Mark and Andy at the clinic.
Also thanks to those who I spoke to via email/PM.
Nice to know my money hasnt been wasted.

Just need to receive the Vf28 p18 and get that put on the MD304 and off to TD for cleanup/checking and balancing
Might sell it on- might refit?
Dunno yet. Going to enjoy driving it.
(Creamy smooth now too)

Great news - I Guess I need to get abit more out of mine now else I'm negated to the "not so fast group"

BTW I'm sending a PM about your findings - Dave
