Unhappy Clutch replacement beckoning?

Read a few threads recently on slipping clutches, thought I'd share this one.

MY99 UK turbo, full deact, P1 short-engine (apparently), STI panel, VF-28 turbo, Tek3ed.

Well, now the stage is set.
First time I noticed it, 5th gear at about 40mph. Floored the accelerator and waited as the car picked up speed. As it came on boost (2800rpmish), revs increased (just for a moment) without corresponding increase in speed?

Tried the clutch sliipping check trick, 5th, clutch in, rev and release, as expected, revs dropped immediatley?

It's done this only a couple of times, 75% no prob but other times....?

Any ideas, before I got it, it had a brand new clutch anf flywheel etc (standard I think)

Is it just the amount of torque the clutch can't cope with, or have I a more serious problem?

cheers

I'd just keep an eye on it, you'll soon start to get more noticeable symptoms if it is the clutch dying.

I first noticed mine on flooring it from a standing start on a garage slip road on the A1 in heavy traffic, revs briefly soared in second and through third and the car just didnt increase in speed at all.
