Gear stick wont return to center??
#2
Probably the big spring connecting the base of the lever to the gearbox.
Get under the car safely and get to the where the prop shaft comes out/base of the lever. Easy to find.
There should be a large coil spring one end hooked to the lever and the other end to a lug on a large (50mm) washer that bolts against the rubber biscuit bush. When there and correct it pulls the lever to a bias 'centre' in neutral.
If the spring is gone, broken you have a job to do; if it is all there and correct, the issue is in the box itself and you have a much bigger job to do....
Good luck, 911.

Common Problem, one of the coils usually snaps and the spring falls out.
If you are local to me in Herts i will take a look at it and make sure the spring is missing for you (no Charge).
