DP fitting costs?
Just wondering how much it is to fit a downpipe? can anyone recommend anyone?
Could it be a DIY job, provided I get the correct gaskets first.
Cheers.
Daz.

Certainly a diy job, can be easy or a Real Bitch.
Main problem is bolt corrosion, need for double-jointed fingers in places.
Best to take the intercooler off to jet access.
I've re-used the gaskets 3 times now and all ok!
After you are done you might wish you had paid someone especially if one or more studs snap....
If the car is a Jap import then you will be lucky I think, if a UK car then salt corrosion may add to the effort.
Good luck.

I had a full system fitted in 3 hours at a local garage. There was a little trouble with 2 of the bolts on the dp but they managed to sort it. It cost me £40 which I thought was reasonable for 3 hours labour.

I did my downpipe friday night, took in all a little over 3 hours that included wrapping the downpipe and modding the turbo heat shield. plus I also lost 1/2 hour because I didnt know that the original downpipe had the donut on it and had to ask someone on scoobynet about it.
