Fuel flow prob: SX fpr and no flow?

Need some more advice.
Just fitted a new SX fpr/Walbro and changed all the pipes on my Sti v3 to a parallel system.
Came to test the system for leaks, switched on the ignition, short whirrr (3secs) as usual from the pump, and no leaks. BUT, when i screwed the SX pressure adjuster screw in to raise the pressure nothing changed on the gauge mounted on the SX fpr.
i expected there to be a lot more pump activity to prime the system and dispell all the air there would be in the pipes.

Any ideas why not?

With just the ignition on the pump primes the system then stops (short whirr for 3 secs) When the engine is started the pump restarts and continues to run once engine is running but the pump will stop if engine stops
Set the pressure when you have it idling

Graham, ignition on and off a few times will prime the system fully before you fire the car up, and it should register on the FPG. Once its up to a reasonable pressure i would then start the engine, and adjust the fpr as it idles.

As Steven says. I answered on your project thread. Didn't see this one asking the same!!

Thanks to you all, I placed it twice to increase the 'capture' of experts!
Will try the multi-switching. At this stage i want to check for leaks mainly, as if the inlet has to come off I'll go mad!

Thanks as ever, Graham (911)
