Default How do you test 4 wheel drive?

As the tiltle says, does anyone know how to test that the 4 wheel drive is working. the road outside my house was covered in ice and although the car MY93 pulled away the front wheels were spinning but I couldn't see or feel the backs one going round.

is there an easy way to check that all 4 wheels are turning or would i know if something had gone wrong?

its mechanical and you will hear it if it goes wrong,a point to remember in snow is they are excellent at moving forward but they are no better than any other car when it comes to stopping or going around bends,so dont get caught out....powerman

Few years ago, I came back from Birmingham in the snow and was happy pottering alone at 70 MPH in the outside lane. Most cars were struggling in the inside lane doing 20 MPH.

Stopping them in the snow and ice is VERY difficult
