Hi all,

I have located a place where I can get some 103 octane fuel (109 RON as per their web site http://www.racegas.com/fuelspecs/default.asp). It is the GT Plus unleaded one.

I am trying to get back to 100 RON gas when mixing with 95 RON pump fuel.

Can I just mix:

6 gallons of 95 RON with 4 gallons of 109 RON and in my tank have gas rated at:

(6 x 95 = 570) + (4 x 109 = 436) / 10 = 100.6 RON ?

I don't think it works that way i.e. you can't just "average" out the octane numbers.

You'd prob. have to mix some up and get it tested.

 

I could save you all the chemistry and sell you some spare Elf Turbo Plus unleaded fuel thats rated at 101.5 RON
Comes in 50litre drums and i think ive got 4 or 5 of them.
