WR Sport back box

WR Sport back box
I've got an '03 STi, & the previous owner has fitted the WR Sport back box (the one with the oval tail pipe).
Is this box any good? How does it compare to the standard STi item?
Is it just me, or does anyone else think it looks a bit weedy?

It depends what you prefer, a big cannon exhaust or something more subtle. Everyone has there own prefrences, louder, quieter etc etc
It does look a little weedy, i agree. especially when you compare it to some of the monsters available on the market, however, i think it sounds great. Not loud but has a nice rumble to it from inside the car and is also noticable outside aswell.
It a prodrive part, about £250 to buy, so yes its a pretty decent box IMO.

I enquired about getting one from the dealer and the guy said it wont make any difference performance wise to the standard BB.
They would be better just selling the back box of the pro-drive one that comes with PPP, which is supposed to be better performance wise.

Most important thing you have all missed when comparing to the "monster" back boxes is that the WRsport item does not affect your warranty
Personally I used to have one on my own MY02STI until I got the PPP.
Its loud enough for me, but yet you don't have to shout at your fecking passengers when trying to have a conversation.
Plus you don't look like a ******** with a huge stupid exhaust on the back of the car (all in my opinion)

Your dealer has mis-informed you. The WRSport silencer and the PPP silencer are almost identical technically, the main difference is the tailpipe design. You will get a performance increase with the WRSport silencer but we have never actually quantified it although it would be the same increase as you would get by fitting the PPP silencer in isolation.
