I use my 1997 Type RA for sprinting/hillclimbing but it now has a whining rear diff. Been told that the pinion has run dry at some time,(maybe .8ltr of oil isn't enough) In the process of sourcing a replacement and would like to know which other Imprezas use the same R160 4.444 diff so I can tell Santa. Will the drive shafts etc fit.
Do all STi's have the same diff !!

most jap non type r, or ra. Those that didnt were the earlier ones which could have been 4.11s.
