Who knows about oil temp sender adaptors?
After a failed attempt (spraying oil everywhere) of my oil temperature sender.... I need some help.
Is there such a thing as a....
M12x1.25 to M18x1.5 adaptor?
...or a...
'sensor blub holder' that is M10x1.0 to M18x1.5?
The Blitz R115 Temp gauge I've got comes with a 'sensor bulb holder' that is M10x1.0 (nut thread above sensor) to M12x1.25, which is too small for the hole in the Subaru engine.
I got myself a LeMans M10x1.0 to M18x1.5 which I thought would do the trick, but the nut above the probe is not sealed onto the cable.... so oil is spat up past the probe and through the small gap between nut and cable. I'm guessing I need the same type of adaptor, but in a 'bulb' format.
The Blitz instruction manual does mention an M18-1.5 (19643) adaptor, but I cannot find it for sale.
Anyone else buy one of these gauges and find the correct adaptor? I'll contact Blitz UK for some help, but I suppose I could always get someone to drill out the LeMans adaptor and re-tap it to be M12x1.25.... messy and bound to go wrong
Thanks
J.

I'm not familiar with this particular sender, but most I've seen are 1/8 NPT tapered thread. We do an adapter to suit if it is this size , if not you may need to have one made to suit the size of your sensor?

Thanks for the advice. This is what the gauge fittings look like to give you a better idea. (Apologies to Blitz if I've broken any copyright laws by display this image)

Blitz UK (Race Logic) have come up with the goods.
The p/n M18-1.5 '19643' (the adaptor I need) is avilable from Blitz Japan to fit to the probe on the R115 gauge.... so I've ordered one.
Thanks to Mike Broadbent at Blitz UK.
