STi 04 Exhaust
Wondering if anyone knows whether or not a STi Uk backbox would fit a Wrx of the same age etc and would there be any benefit in doing so.

yes, no. 
I believe yes it will fit. Very limited benefit as the STi backbox is still very restrictive - put a prodrive one on if you want warranty, or any one of many aftermarket.
