Default WRX RA Adjustable Centre Diff

HI,

I recently bought a WRX RA, i have read an old Japaneese import Magazine that has a Impreza Buyers Guide.

I read the section about the RA and liked the idea that all RA's have the adjustable centre diff. So i went out and bought one.

I even checked the engine code on the SIDC Faq, and confirmed that it is an RA.

However it does not have the scroll wheel to adjust the diff.

I am not sure if somone has changed the interior as some point as the centre console does not seem to fit right, as at the back i can see a metal plate sticking out at the back, i am sure this would have been covered originally. I was wondering if maybee the Switch has not been transfered to the new centre console?

Maybee the article was wrong and the early RA's never had an adjustable diff, Maybee the early one is adjusted some other way.

I am sure some of you out their will have an idea, so please tell me what you think.

Thanks

It wasnt an option on the WRX type RA, but later versions (ltd versions in 99/00) had this as standard. It seems to be standard from the V3 STi type RA onwards though on the STi range.

Nah mate, the DCCD was fitted to all STi RA's V1-V6. And i'm 99.9% sure that no WRX RA's had them, even the limited ones (as standard).

A local Garage who uses the RA for Rallying has a K Plate like mine and it has the adjustable diff. they thought mine should have had it.

Would it be an easy ad on at any point?

Thanks
Derek
