Default Which Panel Filter?

As above really. Just refitted my original airbox ( in place of K&N ) and the panel filter looks like it could do with replacing. I thought the sti filter was supposed to be good but have heard info recently that says otherwise.

cheers guys.

Green panels won the scoobymag test and OEM was only marginally second - and half the price of the rest!!! STi was the only one to lose power - having said that others have claimed big gains???? Who knows? I reckon there is not a lot in it.

Sos m8, I meant the K&N Induction kit.
Ended up going for a standard subaru item, only £7+VAT from Graham Goode.

Depends on what car you have, if they tested all these filters on a classic then the STI panel filter will be down as it was designed for a new age STi, you will see gains though, not in bhp but in torque, to give you an example, ie my car i ran the car on the rolling road at just over 2k miles on the clock, standard MY03 JDM STi, pushing 288bhp and 297lbs of torque (2 runs, both very similar), then added filter whilst car still on the rolling road, power increase reached 300bhp (settled for 299bhp, 2 runs again) and 312lbs of torque, car now with just under 7k on the clock, 312bhp and 331lbs of torque, still just with the panel filter, you tell me which one is best
