Would anyone be able to tell me when the cambelt needs changing on a MY01 (bugeye) Japanese Impreza? Is it 42k or 60? Does it also go on the age of the car and not just the mileage?

My handbook for a MY99 says 60k but I have been told it should be done at 45k..

 

Have been through this loop MY01 = 60k MY99= 45k
There was a policy change by IM to extend the service interval in 2000, i checked this with IM.
My consern would be, would you let it go that far, same belt as on the MY99.
That is changed at 45K
