Default Exhaust noise PPP vs Stock

How does the prodrive performance package sound? I am getting a 05 STI soon and would like to know how much louder the prodrive package will be at idle, partial trottle, wot and at crusing (3000-4000 rpm) compared to stock?

Any inputs will be much appreciated

Can,

Stock is quiet. PPP on my 03 STi is just nice, thought it was a bit loud at first (but I'm an old git) but now I really like it. I'd say it is about halfway between quiet and some of the more extreme (illegal?) back boxes I've heard. Prodrive engineer it to sound good and be legal.

Idle - gentle burble.
WOT - rasp.
Cruise - subdued.

Cheers, Diccy.

i agree with above - car comes to life, however the sewing machine sound of the engine is drowned out and replaced with a coarser exhaust note..

not so cultured - far more sporty and dramatic and not too OTT........

Default Thanks for the reply

It usually gets quiter once the carbon builts up I guess. When I had the S4, I liked it best with a cat back exhaust - It was just loud enough to make a scream in tunnels and enclosed areas and quite enough when tooling in town or highway driving.
