Legacy GTB Auto Gearbox ECU H E L P
A call out to any Legacy GTB Auto (import) owners out there.
I have a friend who is having absolute nightmares with his auto gearbox on his GTB. After having some internal issues sorted out the car soon developed an ECU fault (probably on the gearbox end not the main ECU), eratic and gerky changes and the POWER light going on and off.
I have suggested that there maybe someone on Scoobynet that may have a similar car and ECU that he could try in his car. (I have no idea where the gearbox ecu is located so it might be out of the question). Or if someone has a spare one sitting around that they want to sell.
Well here is hoping (for his sake)

I have a couple of AT gearbox ecus from an RS legacy TT my96.
If you could get the part numbers it would help.
Not sure where the buggers are fitted though.
I would imagine they are on the passenger footwell near the heater box.
The gear light flickers when there is a mechanical problem aswell as electrical, how can you be sure that its not an internal fault in the gearbox?
PM me if you require the ECU.
