Default MY93 WRX ECU Questions - Help & Advice Needed !!

Hey Guys,

Currently have a W6 ECU in my MY93 JDM WRX and am looking at getting the ECU sorted. I *MAY* be able to get hold of a Z4 ECU and was wondering what you guys thought about them. I am a little concerned about fueling at the moment though my car was imported in 1998 and has survived for this long (Temps fate !!). Would my Scooby run okay with the Z4 ECU, what can I expect to gain if anything by fitting this ECU. Is it going to course me any problems with fueling i.e. Detonation etc or would I be better off with the Z4 instead of my current W6. Is it easier to map a Z4 than it is a W6 and what can I get done to the Z4 in the future.

Any help and advice would be great Chaps and Chappettes. This is top of my list of priorites.

Currently running a complete decat system, Bailey's VTA D/V, Standard Airbox soon to be fitted with an STi Panel Filter. Manual Boost controller set to approx. 9-10 P.S.I. << Is this okay by the way ??

Thanks In advance for any help. BTW I have read the other thread in General Technical regarding different ECU's but I think I may have killed that thread with my dodgy questions..lol

Regards

Chris

Z4 is alot better then the W6 and runs 12.7psi, whereas the W6 runs just 11.47psi.
The ignition/fuel map in the Z4 is also alot beter so you should also notice better off-boost running.
