Question ECUTEK and ecu revision

Hi,
I have bought the wpsm software(poor mans delta dash) and had a strange discovery when I tried the software. It seems like the sw thinks I have a sti 7(2001-2002) ECU:AG821/2593.

My car is actually a STI -2003 which is supposed to have another revision.
Could the ecutek' remap make the monitor software into detecting the wrong euc?

My car is supposed to have a ecu with rev:ah990 !?

Hi,

I can confirm after talking to Steven Done that the revision number can be changed by a ecutek-remap, like in my case the map was originally ment for a STi 7 then modified to suit my STI8 without changing the ecu revision.

The wpsm-tool now works great when I got the license for a STI 7, check it out on http://wpsm.free.fr!

Hi there

Quite surprised to read that an Ecutek approved mapper can reflash using a previous ECU revision base...?
Both maps and software are reflashed ?

Oh... I wouldn't describe WPSM as a poor man's DD, as far as I know, it's the only PocketPC select monitoring software available !

Oh, I meant the price suited me a lot better than the deta dash software:-)

The thing is great, I am running a mini-pc with an in-dash 7" monitor that lets me log and check live figures of my car!
The beta even includes a digital dashboard with STI-style gaughes on screen.
