Please help got a my98 uk car and there is a whining noise coming from the engine it sounds like a power steerin pump when the car is held on full lock but is not effected dy the steerin it goes up and down with the revs and sounds louder in the car than under the bonet gets louder when car warm not made it go any slower abd does not sound like turbo as no lag on noise

 

have you checked your levels?

 

Alternator bearings or A/C pully bearings as the noise is engine speed related.
My A/C bearings made a right rumble. Taken off now to save weight ......
