Quick question that I hope someone can help with. I'm seriously contemplating a decat downpipe for my MY00 wagon, and wondered how much of the benefit in terms of power increase is due to increased boost. I already have a Dawes (set to 1.1bar), so will the decat downpipe still give me an extra 20-odd HP- how much of this increase in power on an unmodded (eg without a Dawes) is due to getting a few more PSI of boost?

I guess I just want someone to tell me it's worthwhile getting the DP decat despite already having a Dawes in terms of BHP increase....

Power gains are similar from Dawes and exhaust - typically up to 10% for each.

AirFLOW is what you need, not pressure. Think of pressure as an obstruction to flow.

Thanks, that's reassuring. Is there any relationship between the gains for each- if both give a 10% gain each when you have them both fitted, will just fitting one or the other still give 10%?

I think my brain is hurting now so I'll not ask any more questions
