Hi,

Planning to do a 1/8 mile run today....going to stick some ice cubes and water in the I/C spray tank. I have been told that putting in some rubbing alchohol will help keep things colder longer......is there any truth to this and is it worth putting the alchohol in ?

do you really think its safe to spray alcohol over your engine colud be wrong but id stick with water(distilled)

Yes it does work, it raises the boiling point of the water so it stays on the IC for longer and hence cools the IC more efficiently.

IIRC Screen wash has alcohol in it and odes the same thing. Try a more concentrated screen wash mix.
