Slower after fitting Induction Kit
Just fitted an induction kit to my Bugeye JDM Wagon, sounds great but feels sluggish in boost.
Any ideas why that might be, if a remap will sort it out and if I should drive it carefully until the map is done? Presumably as it's slower it's not running lean?
This is the only mod apart from a backbox & VTA DV. Hopefully getting decat downpipe and EcuTek 3 soon....
Cheers,
Rob.

TBH you would be better with a panel filter (STi) as you will get gains out of it.
You could also be getting that sluggish feeling due to the weather, remember its hot, your induction kit is in the engine, thats even hotter, so all your doing is putting hot air back into your engine, with a panel filter your still putting outside air in, thus its the best way for minor mods.

Induction kit may cause different flow patterns over the MAF which can make it misread, upsetting (and possibly making dangerous for engine health) the normal mixture and timing.

It's the Sonic Power with the Shield and (before you laugh and say gimmick!) it is located pretty close to the original air intake it should be getting cool air when moving at a reasonable speed.
Was pretty warm today though, so possibly that....I hope.
I think I'll add a knocklink to the list of mods.
