Default Top speed with JDM 6 MT

Anyone know what theoretical top speed you would get with the JDM 6 speed box, or what the speed is per 1000rpm in sixth?

100mph is around 4050rpm on the JDM 6th.

On a Uk Classic with 225/35/18 tyres at 7000 rpm speedo was showing just over 160, calculatiosn work it out to be around 158mph.

I hated the gearing in my JDM 6 speed, its too short when you have had a UK 5speed.

I now have a UK 6 speed, and the gearing seems to suit so much better IMO.

Look here, scroll down to see speed charts http://www.wallis2000.co.uk/uploads/ratios.xls

To confirm 3500 in 6th on a JDM was around 80mph. Its about 22.8mph per 1000.

Excellent link to the ratios spreadsheet. As mine is predominantly used on track, I *hope* the shorter ratios will suit better. Only time will tell. Mine hasn't got monster power either (350ish I hope) then I really don't need the forester option, and the 4-5th gear drop on the uk would be annoying on track I would guess.

With the power you are running Adam I'm not surprised There again, the speed (you alledgedly) drive at, wouldn't the lower top end be safer
