Car feels wired after fitted a HKS 3" Downpipe
the car runs extremly well when I start off with a 3" HKS catback hyper. until today I fitted with a HKS 3" downpipe to make it full. Now the car feels wired.. runs alot slower than it used to be!!!!!! wouldnt I expect more power gain with the full system?? the only mod I have done is a K&N panel filter and the Full HKS turbo back. please advice. my car is 01 Bugeye WRX..

You will need a re-map to get the best out of the new exhaust.I used to have a 01wrx and it never felt quite right with exhaust mods only,it could also be over boosting and will hit the soft fuel cut,which feels like something is holding you back.

You've gone to a full 3" decat system which is designed primarily for top end power.
This top end power sometimes comes at the expense of low down response.
This loss of response is probably what you are feeling.
If the car has more mods and a bigger turbo, the feeling probably wouldn't be as pronounced, but you have a very small turbo breathing through a very large exhaust.
I experienced this with a 3" system on a lightly modded car, it felt great on full chat, but boggy low down. Reverting to a 2.5" decat system regained the low down response and until you are into much more power you probably won't notice the difference between 2.5" and 3" at the top end.

I had a full decat on my MY01 JDM, and it did feel a bit like it was holding back when the boost came in, I didnt expect that.
Had an ECU -TEC remap now, and its awesome May be the way to go?

ive got a full blitz nur spec r which is 3"
and a magnex down pipe
so,i should benefit big time from a re-map then ????????
