GEARBOX SEIZED UP THEN ITS OK 5 MINS LATER ?
just had a race on a new evo 8 kieed him the first time and then round 2 me gearbox sized up when takin it out of 2nd and into 3rd got a tow back home 
then come to push it in the garage i could get all the gears again wot could of this been ?!?!?!?

Or the clutch, particulary if you haven't got the heat sheild around the turbo in place.
bleed the clutch to startwith, check gearbox oil level.. then try racing him again

I had this coming back from Mencap04 rally.
gunning it up the road I lost gears, all the gears.
five minutes later aftert he clutch fluid had returned to a normal temp it was a-ok.
one fluid change later (DOT5.1 this time) and fingers crossed its a good-un.
its as though you basically over cooked the clutch fluid.
