DCCD settings?

DCCD settings?
Hi, just wondered what setting everyone else was running their WR1's in on? I've looked in the handbook but it doesn't seem that clear, so i've left it on auto at the moment.
Has anyone got any thoughts?

Ok thanks Tony, i'll remember that. The handbook really wasn't any use.
I only picked the car up yesterday and i've still got 830 miles to go until i can use it properly.

Ok, ive looked in my handbook (not much to see except japanese ) but what i could make out is this (its pages 3-44 and 3-45 for all you newage jdm owners, MY03 )
this has something to do with percentages... not sure what though (6 settings???)
Starts at 0, then goes to 15 then to 35, 65, 85 and 100% on lock, i cannot unfortunately translate the rest of it but it does show a picture of the dccd button to switch to manual and the c.diff control

I found the manual a touch wanting in clarity as well. So far, on auto you can feel the power being transfered from the rear to the front on a wet corner when you boot it -- quite a bizzare feeling because you initialy want to steer into the begining of the slide. Don't -- just let the car work it out. Obvously don't try to break the laws of physics though. With it on manual and the bottom green circle lit up it acts almost like a rear wheel drive car. Great fun, and real easy to get the back end out in the wet. The best of both worlds !! A 4 wheel drive and a rear wheel drive car in one. I don't know what the percentage power split is on the other settings though. It obviously puts more power to the front wheels as the higher lights are lit up. Lock is obvious. Probably only used on loose surfaces.

Do a search on here for DCCD, i think Iain M re-posted some links to John Felsted's scanned articles on DCCD about a week ago. Can't remember what thread it was in though, probably soemthing to do with WR1's...

Full explanation of how DCCD works and how to use it
All that's missing is a description of how the Auto setting behaves - but why buy a car with a driver controlled differential and then leave it in auto all the time?
