Default oil leak only when hot.

when my car is driven for more than about 20 miles - i.e. a motorway journey it develops a slight oil leak onto the exhaust.

which obviously stinks somewhat.

no overnight drips and its only a small amount. any ideas please?

It could be rocker cover leaking,or turbo pipe.

What MY is your car?

The MY99> have a sensitive MAF that dosent seem to like anything apart from errr.....being changed for A new one.

And is it a peculiar cat pi$$ stink? If so then it is the gearbox oil rather than engine oil - narrowing down the search.
Another one to look for is grease leaking from the driveshaft boot above the exhaust.

I had the exact same problem recently and it turned out to be a dodgy seal on the oil filter which no amount of tightening would fix. I took the opportunity to do an oil and filter change which solved the problem .
