No power steering
Hi all, looking for some advice. While driving along my local backroad today i lost my power steering. After crawling home ( not far) i found that the power steering drive belt was missing. The crankshaft pulley was slack so the belt either slipped off or snapped. Has anyone else had a similar prob? Is it just a case of tightening the crankshaft pulley (is it ok to use threadlock on the bolt?) and fitting a new belt? or should i check anything else? The engine sounds and drives fine with no strange rattles or loss of power (at low revs anyway).
Any info welcome, Johnny
p.s.
where's the best place to get replacement belts from?

Main dealers for belts or Graham goode racing (im sure theres plenty of others).
If the crankshaft pulley is loose then you will have to remove it and inspect it.The woodruf key may have become worn aswell as the inside of the pulley.
Not a good idea to loctite and keep your fingers crossed,it will probably loosen off again and could damage the end of the crank.
All this providing the bolt hasnt just come loose for some strange reason.
Ps I have a crankshaft pulley and key if interested,I may also have a s/h belt.
Pm me if required.

Ok, i checked the pulley, a couple of marks and woodruff key is slightly worn at one side, no obvious crank damage so i ordered a set of alloy pulleys from graham goode. Anyone used these? are they any good?
