What do people think about the Afterburner Vortex?
Hi all
Just about to buy that most important of mods - a new exhaust!!
I've always gone for an H&S backbox before, but I was looking at the Afterburner Vortex, and was wondering what the general consensus was about it.
Am I right in saying that H&S manufacture it? And how does it compair to the more expenisve Jap boxes (Blitz etc..)
(I've got a TSL centre pipe to go on as well)
Some opinions would be good!
All the best
Dave.

Yes, H&S do make it exclusively for Scoobyworld so the quality as you would expect is very high.
I have my Vortex as a Jap style angled exit on a full decat.
It gives great improvement on performance, looks good...has a "titanium type" end to the exit pipe and sounds wonderful.
It is loud and will drone on motorways but not as bad as a Blitz...or so i'm told.
Put your foot down on the throttle and it will really "crack" through the air and make old Grannies loose their dentures.

Enjoy it
If you haven't got one already, consider getting a decat downpipe because this will make a big difference to performance and give the engine/exhaust note a real 'grunt' about it.
The only downside of this is it can be a bit of a hassel at MOT time.
