Default Scooby mods - help

I have purchased a bugeyed scooby within the last month and want to try a few little mods. An exhaust is first on the list, but am unsure as to which to go for. I was thinking either a Magnex cat back system or a scorpion backbox. I dont want it too loud whilst driving on motorways etc, but want a decent sound!

Also lowering springs. Will this improve handling, and what are the favoured springs to go for? (Prodrive / Eibach???).

Final thing is an induction kit. Is this worht it, and if so which are recommended (K&N ???)

1st i would post in general tech then

i would change the drop links and leave the spings alone

and i would bin the idea of a scorpion or a magnex and go for something more scooby orientated

Not sure about BugEye models, but just fitted a genuine STI panel filter to MY99.
Definately more responsive and less chance of killing MAF.
