Default New sooby owner needing help !!

Need some help with a couple of un-nerving noises coming from my new 99 Wagon. First one doesn't concerm me too much but would like to know what it could be. It a slight grind as i put it into the higher gears (3rd,4th and 5th) when under hard acceleration, can also feel it slightly through the gear lever.

The other noise is again under hard acceleration as the speed gets towards 3 figures. Car suddenly becomes very noisy but hard to explain. Doesn't do it every time. It almost sounds like the engine is racing. Its a kind of loud buzz/slight grinding noise. Have any of you experience this ? It usually goes suddenly once you lift off and the car goes below 95ish.

Although the revs are high at these speeds, i can assure you that its not a normal noise. Any help would be appreciated !
