New Firestorm Exhaust

New Firestorm Exhaust
Hello all,
I recently had a TSL Firestorm Exhaust fitted to my 03WRX. The sound is now incredible and I'm really pleased with it, but I have to say the car feels like its lost some of its zip. Is this normal after having a large exhaust fitted? I'm new to all this so excuse my ignorance!
It feels like I have to drive it harder to get the zip I used to get with ease. I've mentioned this to someone whose no Subaru Mechanic, but knows a damn site more than me, who said it probably needs tuning!
Does this sound right????
Also, anyone know any Car Tuning places in the Manchester area ???
Thanks

From everything I've read about turbo cars the last thing you want is back pressure. Fitting a high performance back box will remove some of the back pressure which is good for performance. It allows the turbo to spool up quicker and the exhaust gases can exit easier.
A backbox won't make a massive difference but if you removed the centre silencer and the 2nd cat you would need to have the ECU remapped to really take advantage of the reduced back pressure.
