I was realy not looking for performance but more of a burble if you know what I mean.
If I have to record that Type 25 next time and play it in the car then, thats the way to go.
Why does everyone thing the Pro Drive back box is the best???? when scooby people out there go for something different when they change theirs......
cheers

I disagree Phil, the Prodrive one is a little quiet for my taste when pootling along, and the scream at high revs is also not my fave scooby sound (though very distinctive)
I assume Clive wants a deeper rumble when driving around town/crusing B roads, in which case he has to go aftermarket.
Which is best is very very subjective though...I love my old *Original* Scoobysport produced by Hayward&Scott, I also liked the Scoobymania system I had in the past.
Ultimately it all comes down to which bit of marketing you like the best...else go to a meet and listen to the different systems Clive.

Oh, sorry Phil, I do agree that the standard backbox isn't going to be outperformed by the aftermarket ones, and *may* actually be detrimental...as you pointed out the Prodrive tuning was optimised for their BB (theoretically)...and of course Subaru UK could not possibly invalidate the warranty if you don't swap exhaust components...though they *could* if they found non-standard sports exhaust fitted...at least they could be awkward.

I think I'll stick with the Pro Drive box.
But it does sounds very much like a marketing cobbler's that "Yes Pro drive have developed the system to go with the performance of the engine,,,,,, but don't you think that the other performance pipe's also keep this in mind. An will either match the performance or increase........... Blitz do a straight pipe with removable muffler in their back bock. This will increase the gass flow, letting the engine breath quicker with a rumble in the jungle............
I've been informed also that the warenty is not effected if you change the back box.
cheers
