STI panel filter in a UK Turbo, can u
Looking to make some mods to the motor MY99 2000 Turbo.
About to order a H&S full decat with silencer in the centre pipe, for the wife and the wee mans benefit.
Looking to buy a replacement panel filter also, can anyone tell me if an STI panel filter will fit a UK car.
Is this the best type of replacement panel filter for the car.
Also wondered if I would have to remap the ECU if I went ahead with these mods.
Cheers

sti filter will drop straight in
most people on here would consider a full decat and filter an essential mod.
you do not need to remap but obviously you can make better gains from the mods having your ecu programmed.
get a dawes next

It's a little valve that allows you to take boost control away from the ECU, and set it yourself.
A very cheap mod that can give you more power and torque, but you obviously lose the built-in safety features that leaving boost control in the hands of the ECU gives you.
As for getting one next, don't. At very least you need a boost gauge before buying a manual boost controller, and ideally a KnockLink and AFR meter too.

comper100,
www.japanparts.com
These guys seem to be able to ship the cheapest parts, but remember import duty (if you get caught!)
