Question How much for a head gasket?

Fitted all in price

Let me know gently please

Whats the procedure - engine out?

And what else might as well be changed whist its being done? timing belt I assume. Car is alledgedly 40k miles and 10 years old.

Do head gaskests generally fail over time, or could this be as a result of poor cooling for example.

In my case it seems its failed between the waterway and piston.

cheers

Mine cost me £900. they managed to do it without taking the engine out but i think i got a water pump and timing belt as well but most of the cost was labour. Either way is not cheap. my car is a MY93 WRX with 70K miles
