decat on na scooby questions??
I was thinking of a new rear box on my n/a scoob
i saw on one of the sites a set of exhaust bits for the sport model, which appears to be identical to my Gl.
the questions
1) which cat to remove the first or the second (only both if the ins co is friendly!!)
2) how do you fool the lambda sensor if you remove the first one.
3) what are the increases in bhp if any, and noise?? my current bits (oem) give a nice rumble in the car, but sod all on the outside, I want a burble!!!!

Mart.. you have a private message.
as to your Questions..
I have both de-cats on mine, and the lambda sensor is still on the first de-cat.
You can either get a full 2 into 1 decat, which eliminates having the two pipes. but most of us that have got 2 de-cats on the normally aspirated model, me included.
As for bhp... depends on what you have got on the rest of the system.? I have a straight thru, from down pipe to back box, and the noise is loud but has a nice burble to it as well. and i think someone else has a GL with the same system as myself.
As for the back box which is your main concern, then ppl have their own opinions. mine came from Hayward and Scott, a company in Essex, which did a marvelous job. Magnex if you like oval,.. and so on..... but by all means come on the site in your pivate message
