Default Back box's

Can anyone give some info about the difference's between the Afterburner Vortex back box and the Scoobysport design back box ?

I'm about to de cat my MY02 WRX but cant decide on the back box, also been informed that doing this will bring the engine check light on and need a cell fix or a remap.

Thanx.

Woody.

Vortex is a newer design and louder than the SS. SS have only recently just started trading again but I think they still use Janspeed for their exhausts (not to be confused with the original SS exhausts which were made by H&S, who are still a favoured manufacturer among scooby owners). Some people have claimed significant improvement in performance with the Vortex.

A search should reveal loads of info on both these systems.

You won't have the check engine light coming on by changeing just the back box,to get that you have to go the full de-cat route.
