Cost of gearbox rebuild...
...if the only problem is a failing 5th syncromesh. The car is driveable, but getting into 5th over 2,500 rpm is a crunchy and graunchy noise-fest
Car is a MY99 Turbo Wagon, 68000 miles, 247bhp (Magnex c/section and BB).
Can anyone help here please??

Try 3D transmissions.
We've used them a couple of times and never had any probs.

I think this can be got at by dropping the rear case of, whilst the gearbox is still in situ'.
Worth knowing, incase they go hell for leather on a full strip down.
