You'll find a lot of us Northerner's have a Revolution system.
This replaces the centre section and backbox.
Good design and fit, clears the diff and rear driveshaft no probs.
They also offer a matching downpipe for a full 3" decat set up and it's available with a 5x3" oval tailpipe as well. The backbox itself is large enough to give a nice burble on tickover and produces a lovely sound on throttle

Just had mine fitted, very good fitment. Its one of the quieter decat systems WRT cabin noise, but outside its a very deep rumble, not boomy at motorway speeds (4000rpm for me) so winner all round

Also it was delivered next day as promised by the very helpful and informative staff.

What I will say though is that their downpipe doesn't look as open neck as others judging by the pictures on their site.

Seems as though my petrol consuption has gone up dramatically after having it fitted.

That isn't exactly what I expected...
Is this normal?

Still sounds nice.

Would you say there was a noticeable increase in fuel consumption in terms of a comparison to OEM exhaust?

Have you got the Revolution Downpipe fitted?

Any idea where there would be an obliging MOT station in the Gateshead area if I want to go down the Downpipe route?

Cheers

Micka,

I went for the BR Developments 3" Downpipe.

No noticable increase in fuel consumption.

Not from that area so can't help with the MOT stations

Cheers

Might be looking to sell this full cat back system as I not not particularly struck on it...

Thought I might be able to take it back and get some money back, but it seems once it is fitted then Tough luck get used to it or sell it on!

Anyone interested in taking it off my hands for £250?

Bargain, considering it has been on the car a total of 5 days and cost me £325 to have it fitted.

Blimey Mika! why so disapointed,a real need to know,is it because of fuel, fit, noise, etc or quality of componant's.
What car is it fitted to?

Most concerned MIKE.....

I run the system but use a different D/P now. Power and relatively quiet.

Is this the same Harvey with the 585BHP wagon! if so i read the article in jap -mag on your car and noticed you use this system,I would imagine if this system was inadequate it would of been ditched a long time ago.

The main problem I have found is the petrol consumption has rocketed...

Previously I would get 250 miles on full tank of Optimax. Now since I have had Revolution system fitted I'm lucky if I get 200.

Power gains are questionable and if anything I reckon it seems down on performance.

Do you have to re-set the ecu if only fitting the last three section's,leaving original up-pipe /downpipe in place on a MY01 WRX UK?
Had the afterburner backbox/centre on my classic which was loud, are the noise level's of revolution system concidered mild/medium/loud.

More than happy with the noise levels not being too silly...

But how I can justify putting an exhaust system on, without worrying about looking at the petrol gauge and without changing driving style to what it was before, defeats the purpose of having it fitted in the 1st place.

Experiencing a 50mpg per tank defecit per tank of Optimax is not really justifiable...

ECU reset is an option I suppose...

Micka, are you sure you didn't damage the lambda sensor when fitting the downpipe?

I say this since you can only get decent mpg if off boost, in which case an exhaust shouldn't make much difference when in closed loop fuelling (it didn't on mine anyway).

As the Revolution system will improve the efficiency of your engine, fuel economy should improve unless you are screwing the additional power out of it frequently.
If you have not detected a power increase and are suffering increased fuel consumption this points to other things being wrong and I suggest you have the engine checked over and set up.
