it isn't bad at all m8. standard boost for the car is just below 15psi and fuel cut is the higher end of 17psi, so your fine m8. dont worry

That's a tad higher than it should be for standard, but as drb5 says, it's not excessively high. The decat exhaust will be the main cause for this. Fitting Samco intercooler hoses can also increase max boost by 1psi.

Personally I'd try cleaning the wastegate solenoid. If that doesn't make any difference, you have a couple of choices...

- fit a GBE/Dawes MBC and reduce the boost manually.

- fit a Knocklink to monitor for det, and enjoy the extra performance...

thats not overboost mate
not really much to worry about imho..

To put it into perspective- After fixing a leaking injector I was seeing 1.7 bar (when it was mapped at 1.35) !
killed what was left of my clutch in super quick time I can tell you.

sorted it by tweaking my map (Link ECU) BUT your have the OE ecu

Just get a knocklink and watch out for 'big red'

It's the small blue cylindrical device on the driver's side suspension strut, with either 2 or 3 hoses attached.

Err.. AFAIK there is no other boost solenoid...
...aside the wastegate one, which indeed perform the boost control by restricting the flow going to the wastegate, in order to modulate the pressure above what a straight wastegate would allow (which would be about 7.3PSI with a stock TD04L).
