MBC + Boost levels
I've just fitted a MBC and boost gauge to my MY99 JDM Forester.
Shortly I'll be putting on a decat downpipe but I don't plan a remap until later in the year (September/October).
I've set the boost level to a max of 1 bar.
Is this safe or should I reduce it.
Please vote above.

Surely if I cut the max boost back to the 0.8 bar it was running prior to installation then I've restored the status quo.
These mods were recommended by API engines with no mention of a knocklink, I've just decided to do it myself.
Incidentally is there and alternative to the knocklink as it (IMHO) fugly (althought as pointed out better then a knackered engine).
