Default My 2.5 Upgrade

currently having the STi 2.5 short motor dropped into my STi6 Type R, i understand i may need some other bits too? if so, any recommendations on Turbos, Injectors, FMIC, ECUs etc. etc.

current mods include Up and Down pipes and a TEK3 (to be remapped again for the 2.5)

not after BIG power, maybe something in the low 12's though

cheers, peccy

20G, 740s/pump/reg, induction, exhaust, FMIC, headers, remap, higher capacity MAF sensor or housing, 3 port solenoid, knocklink, AFR meter, oil pres/temp, boost gauge.

Should do 400 BHP and 400 lbft on Optimax without additives on most rollers, and probably about 12.0 1/4 with a 5 speed. You'll need about 1.4 bar midrange, and about 1.1 bar at the top end for this.

As above plus a decent transmission to cope.

dont know your insurance history, etc Dave, but a serious piece of advice would be check you can get insurance for the 2.5.

Turbo would lose puff quite early, due to the increased airflow through the engine.

Injectors Duty Cycle will be maxed out.

Induction needed for the FMIC.

Keeping TMIC and your charge temps will get silly.

3 Port Solenoid for better boost control when mapping.

Gauges for early warning devices.
