Angry Gear Crunch and link to bearing replacement???

Hi,

I have just had my front NS hub and wheel bearing replaced by my dealer.
I have also had the uppipe to the turbo replaced at same time as was split
and my 60k service.

Since I got it back, i get a crunch/grind going into 4th & 5th when over 3k revs and when warmed up (ie for up to 5 mins from starting car i cn change at any revs without crunch). It does NOT jump out of gear though.

Can the work I had done cause my problem and if so how ?

If not, then any other suggestions and tests i can do ?

My cars a MY99 and has had the standard clutch judder for the last 45k miles.
I have the same clutch as i did 45k miles ago. Could it be shagged ?

Thanks,

MKC

check to see that they did put oil in the gearbox as it's changed on a 60k service if it is full then ask them what oil they put in as it does make a difference. castrol syntrax is a good choice.

Angry Help....Synchro or something else

I have checked the level and its at the full mark.

The oil is very clean, hard to see, which I presume is normal.

As well as 4th and 5th, its just started doing it going into
1st, when warm.
If I go into neutral from 4th take foot off clutch, press it
again and go into 5th, the crunch NEVER ocurs.

Can all of this be the oil ?

Anyone have costs to replace synchros and any other bits it may be ?

Thanks...
