Reducing boost levels
Daft question- I know dawes device can increase it above standard, can you reduce it as well?
I have overboost due to HKS induction, decat exhaust and scoobyecu combination.
Any help (and no laughing) appreciated.
Mark

Hi Stefan,
Just want to bring it down to about 1.1 or 1.2 max - its currently hitting 1.4.
Whatever level to get rid of the overboost
Cheers,
Mark
PS I got one a good while back, so I'm printing off the fitment instructions - god help me LOL!!!

i have had boost creep on my STi 5 Type R (it was running fine, then I fitted an induction kit) - The ECU could not stop the boost raising above 1.5 bar when under high load!!! Basically, the wastegate was not by-passing enough gas from the turbine, hence making the turbo spin faster and faster! I solved it this weekend (thanks to Pat's suggestion) by porting the wastegate (there is around 2mm that can be gained, as well as creating better flow by smoothing the bend etc!) Boost creep is now extinguished (oh, and I ported the manfold at the same time, so car pulls even harder now!). Depending on how much of the wastegate is ported, you may need to increse the boost to reach what you were before, as the wastegate will be that much more efficient!
