Which Gearbox Oil???

Anybody got any ideas for a full service on a classic shape WRX

Syntrax, tried redline which my box didn't like, crunching into 4th from 3rd. Changed to Syntrax, now it's as smooth as a baby's bum !

Ive changed mine recently to Silkolene SYntran stuff, its made the shift slicker..
My pal with a 2002 spec c has done the same, and noticed the imrovement also.

Recommended gearbox oil level?

What's the recommended gearbox oil level for a UK MY99 turbo? The dipstick has two small holes drilled in it for lower/upper level. Midway between, lower hole or top hole?

I'm guessing like the engine oil it shouldn't be run full or overfull?
