Default Can you Lag a Catted Downpipe ?

As per the title - can a downpipe that has the Cat fitted be lagged ? I have read various threads about Lagging Decat d/pipe - but hows about a Catted one ?

Technically yes, heat wrap is designed to keep the heat in and there's nothin a cat likes more that a bit of heat.

Cant see any real gain however, the standard OE cat downpipe is surrounded in heatshield which would be doing the same job as wrap, keeping the heat in and deadening some of the sound.

Cheers for the replies Guys - I was in fact thinking more about the fact that if its lagged it might just help to deter additional heat that the shield doesn't soak up from the cat and d.pipe ?
