Default Lambda Test

Does anyone know how to check these sensors a simple test if poss. Do they need a good contact with the exhaust. If faulty what are the signs.
Thanks in advance

Signs are poor idle, increase fuel economy, poor emmissions.

You would need to check the voltage output from the sensor to see if there is a fault (not sure the easiest method of doing that).

You should notice a problem if you have an AFR gauge. Other option is to ask a friendly MOT station to check the exhaust emmissions for you.
